- Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Adam Up
It is the halfway point of the year and I've not broadcast an edition of this newsletter since the turn of the year. I have had weekly requests from people asking where it is, or suggesting they'd been deleted from the distribution list, but the truth is, after 20 years of regularly sending out my weekly newsletter and ezine, it has not been sent out for 6 months.
I have been up to my neck in research. We were in lockdown for 4 months and lots of aspects of my life (and working routines/patterns) changed during that time. I am back now though and plan on sending Adam Up out again every couple of weeks or so. This edition will be a bit of a catch-up and then I'll get more focused on upcoming editions.
I've included a recent one of our memes, but do see social media (Instagram, Facebook or Twitter) if you want to catch up on the weekly ones I have posted since January - I have done my best to post the evidence based hypnosis memes referring to recent research (ideally from 2020 or 2021 where possible).
A major aim of this broadcast has been to offer resource and support and inspiration to those who need it or who have an interest in mental well-being. I hope you and your families have been safe and well during these challenging times.
And just as a reminder, you are receiving this email because you signed up for this ezine, downloaded a course prospectus or attended a course at some point in time. If you do not wish to receive this (not so) regular hypnosis and personal development ezine, you may unsubscribe by clicking the link at the foot of this email. I only want you to receive it each time if you find it of value and you actually read
it. Also, we delete you from our distribution if you have not opened these emails for a while.
In compliance with GDPR, the only information that we hold is your name and email address. We will not share these details with anyone and we will only use them to send you this and related, relevant broadcasts. This broadcast is only sent to people who have signed up with our double opt-in system.
Ok, let's get on with it, shall we?

Our classroom's have reopened and we've been welcoming students back, while also offering a livestream of our diploma course to those unable to attend class in person. There is a strong demand for quality training and the public needs more quality mental health practitioners following the pandemic. As a result, we have very limited spaces remaining for upcoming diploma courses. Click this link to download the
latest version of our Hypnotherapy Practitioner diploma course prospectus containing dates, fees and details of our course content.
In recent months I have been asked often about the difference in accreditation and qualification of our hypnotherapy diploma training courses. I’ve been copying and pasting and editing the same text from emails and thought it would be a good idea to instead write an article that explains it fully and comprehensively that I can send people to. Here is that article:
Explaining Our Diploma Courses Accreditation.
It is my belief and my experience that anyone who would like to have a rewarding career (or advance their existing one) as a hypnotherapist contributing to the mental health and well-being of others is able to do so as a result of our diploma course. It is informed by science and research and leads to high levels of accreditation, ability to obtain professional memberships, gain insurance and work in this
wonderful field.
If you'd like to read about others like you who have studied with us and gone on to become hypnotherapists, you can read their testimonials, stories and even research their websites here.
Free Self-Hypnosis Tuition:
I think that self-hypnosis is an incredible skill, a psychological skill that can be imported to most environments of your life and applied to most aspects of your mental and physical well-being.
There are many myths and misconceptions about self-hypnosis, and it is typically taught incorrectly and not in line with scientific findings or with academic literature. It is an easy to apply skill that anyone can learn and achieve great things with and an aim of ours here is to disseminate that understanding to the public.
A great place to start learning is to download my self-hypnosis roadmap if you've not done so already, for free on this page of the college website: Self-Hypnosis Roadmap.
These free resources are all based upon my own research conducted at Bournemouth University and my book on the subject, the Science of Self-Hypnosis.

The Anglo European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis:
In recent weeks, my social media output has been filled with pictures of me teaching, working out at the gym, memes about hypnosis, photos from my life and loads of articles from our vaults and some other bits and pieces.
