- Hello and welcome to this week's edition of Adam Up This week, one of those incredibly annoying things happened to me. I had Mac failure. My iMac just went kaput on me. This is what I wrote on my private Facebook page:
This is what my home office iMac does when you
switch it on. I have been close to Basil Fawlty-ing it with a tree branch, but as you'll see, have reverted to childish hand signals to let it know I'm pretty unimpressed. Trying to run my business has been challenging today.... So it meant I had a bunch of challenges with our podcast schedule which has been altered slightly.
Instead of the scheduled next
podcast with Shawn Schweier, this week the podcast is live with a new edition featuring Rory Z Fulcher.
Rory has taught with some very big names in this field and gave a great presentation at last year’s UK Hypnosis convention on the subject of Rapid Inductions and him and I discuss that topic in this week’s podcast, have a listen: Next week’s edition will be a special edition featuring a number of members of one particular hypnotherapy association that is making waves in the hypnotherapy world.
The week after that, I am delighted to announce that the inimitable Freddy Jacquin will be
on the show, and then Shawn Schweier’s edition will air following that.

Talking of Rapid Inductions, we have just two spaces remaining for

Whilst on the topic of The Hypnosis Weekly podcast and the UK Hypnosis Convention, I am delighted to announce that on the Friday night of this year’s convention, I will be running a Friday Night Live Special Panel edition of my podcast - my guest panel will comprise of James Tripp, Gary Turner, Anthony Jacquin and Melissa Tiers and there’ll be a lot of hypnosis geekery, debate, discussion, hypnosis factoids and some high jinx and shenanigans.
Over on our social media channels, I went live on Facebook again and this week covered a couple of topics, one rather pensively talking about the need for us to love more, to serve more and
me reflecting upon some of the most inspiring people in my life who have faced some adversity recently.
Meanwhile, over at Instagram, I showed pictures of my Kale crop that was planted last year, yielded an awesome crop, Wintered well and is now growing massively again - I know, pretty exciting stuff.
I also shared evidence based memes galore, and over at Twitter, everything I shared this week on all channels also featured there. As I said last week, our social media output is a joy to behold for all things hypnosis related, so come and get your fill here:

8 Breathing Exercises to Enhance Well-Being |
Onto this week’s main area of focus then, and we are getting all physical, energised, pumped and mobilising effort this week…..
To smoothly transition from some of the topics I’ve written about and explored in recent weeks here and on the blog, I started the week off writing about a number of breathing techniques that I think are useful to advance wellness and well-being.
When we get mindful about our breathing we can recognise how utterly amazing it is (in the
article I use the word ‘brilliant’ as it reminds me of the Fast Show clip from the 90s comedy TV series that I used to love, and included a clip too) - yet I wanted to show how to breathe with purpose too, how to breathe consciously and how to use the breath as a means of advancing well-being. I then stepped that up, and wrote about using breathing to energise and invigorate. I demonstrated the classic process of “Breath of Fire” for you to have a go at (which I just love!!) and then I showed a brilliant

Then I also thought it is a great time to revisit this article. This process is one I created and developed for my friend Lucy Hyde last year when she was training for a boxing match. It can
be applied to a wide number of other areas too though and again has a similar theme of getting intensity levels right and mobilising one’s efforts and energy. I also draw upon a warrior mindset and get to reference a scene from the film Gladiator which made me very happy to do! Enjoy this:
