What is the title of today's Adam Up all about then?

Well this past week, the full back-catalogue of Pathé clips and TV articles from the archives has been placed up on YouTube.

I went and explored it for clips about hypnosis and found some real treasures. 

Here are a number of short clips covering some wonderful stories and perspectives about the field of hypnosis from the 1950s, where the technology was a bit backward, so were attitudes and so was the perspective on hypnosis

I also wrote about some research this week that supported the notion that features a great deal in my work; that we do not have to be full-blown ultra positive all the time.

What I refer to as being "Mr Whoopee-Doo".

I have been taken aback by the number of retweets, facebook messages and emails I have had thanking me for writing about this subject and almost giving people permission not to be overly happy all the time! 

Here is what I had to say on this subject (and if nothing else, you'll get to enjoy a bit of "zip-ah-dee-doo-dah" while reading)

With me being back on the running trail and preparing for my Autumn marathons I couldn't prevent myself writing about my favourite topic.

 I also share a bit of information about why I love the running community so much and about how I went running with both my children at Poole Parkrun event last weekend

Finally, I also wrote about my recent experiences of taking ice baths for running and how I use psychological techniques to stay in the water long enough to gain the full benefits. 

Next week I hope top have more to say upon reflection of my week. Although I am teaching for most of the week, I'll still be writing.

Just survived a close encounter last night when the Grim Reaper came for me but I managed to fight him off with a vacuum cleaner. Talk about Dyson with death.
