- Hello and welcome to this focused edition of Adam Up
I hope you've had a good week. If you're in the UK, there's a fair chance you've also spent part of it wondering whether someone has accidentally moved the country a few hundred miles closer to the equator. It's certainly been an interesting few days! I've included a link further down to my recent article and video explaining how psychology and self-hypnosis can actually help you feel
cooler during hot weather. The response to that has been wonderful, and given that the heatwave doesn't seem to be in any rush to disappear, and we may have another one later in the year, I thought it was worth sharing below. This week, though, I've turned my attention to something I speak to people about almost every day. Motivation. Or perhaps more accurately... the lack of it. The interesting thing is that most people think they have a motivation
problem when, quite often, they don't. Psychology suggests something rather different is going on, and once you understand it, everything starts to make a little more sense. I've written a new evidence-based article exploring how self-hypnosis and active-alert self-hypnosis can help create the conditions in which motivation is much more likely to appear. I've also recorded four short videos demonstrating some of my favourite practical techniques that you can start using
immediately. I hope you enjoy them and, more importantly, find them genuinely useful. All these videos and articles are free and full of resources that I hope you benefit from.
(Given the theme today, you may also be interested in my set of hypnosis audios - The Motivation Sessions - which
contains loads and loads of hypnosis audio tracks and guidance for advancing and improving motivation, and I'm offering at a very low fee indeed.) ==== Wherever you are in the world, I hope you are healthy and happy and that your mental health and well-being benefits from that which is being offered here today.

Heatwave Special! How to cool down using psychology...
|
1. Can Psychology Actually Cool You Down? The Science Might Surprise You
Most of us think temperature is something that simply happens to us. But psychology tells a more interesting story. In this video, I explain how your brain influences your experience of heat and share a series of evidence-based psychological techniques—including self-hypnosis, mental
imagery, attentional control and breathing strategies—that may help you feel cooler, cope better with hot weather and even improve your chances of sleeping during warm nights. This isn't about replacing common sense. Stay hydrated, seek shade and cool yourself physically whenever needed. Instead, this is about adding another useful tool to your toolbox. If your mind can amplify discomfort... It can also help reduce it. Watch until the
end, because I combine all of the techniques into one simple routine you can start using immediately. I'd also love to know... Which technique worked best for you? Watch the Video Here here: The Psychology of Staying Cool in a
Heatwave.
2. Then also here is the article I wrote a while back which includes all the science to support this topic:
Read Full Article Here: How to Cool Down Using Psychology. 3. Finally,
here is a full step-by-step self-hypnosis protocol to lower your body temperature. Read Full Article Here: Using Self-Hypnosis to Lower Your Body Temperature. I do have a couple of hypnosis audio tracks in my huge hypnosis singles collection where I hypnotise you to reduce body temperature that you might like to explore.

How to Use Self-Hypnosis To Increase Motivation. A focused exploration...
|
1. What if the secret to higher self-esteem isn't trying harder to feel confident?
What if genuine confidence comes from something far more powerful? Modern psychology increasingly shows that healthy self-esteem is built upon self-compassion, self-acceptance and self-trust. In my latest article, I explain how to use self-hypnosis and active alert
self-hypnosis techniques throughout your day to: ✓ Build genuine self-confidence ✓ Reduce self-criticism ✓ Develop greater self-acceptance ✓ Strengthen self-worth ✓ Improve mental well-being ✓ Create a healthier relationship with yourself These are practical, evidence-based techniques grounded in psychological science and hypnotherapy that you can start using immediately. One of the most important relationships you'll ever have is the one you
have with yourself. Read the full article here: Self-Hypnosis for Motivation: How to Stop Waiting for Motivation and Start Creating It.
2. Most people focus on changing behaviour.
The more effective approach is often changing identity.
In
this video, I explain how self-hypnosis can help strengthen identity-based habits and why asking “Who am I becoming?” may be more useful than asking “How do I motivate myself?” Watch Video Here: Why Willpower is Overrated: Use This Instead to Get
Motivated. 3. Many people repeatedly revisit their mistakes while overlooking years of evidence that they are capable, resilient, and resourceful. In this video, I explain a simple active-alert self-hypnosis exercise designed to strengthen self-belief and increase motivation by reconnecting with your own evidence of competence. Watch Video Here: Your Brain Keeps Rehearsing Failure: Here’s An Exercise I Teach Clients. 4. People often think they lack motivation.
In reality, many of them are struggling with something else entirely. In this video, I explain why friction, overwhelm, and perceived difficulty often sit at the
heart of procrastination and how active-alert self-hypnosis can help reduce resistance and make action easier. Watch Video Here: Most Motivation Problems Are Actually Friction Problems. 5. Most people try to motivate themselves with
pressure, criticism, and guilt. Unfortunately, those approaches often create resistance rather than action. In this short video, I explain why curiosity can be a far more effective psychological tool and show you a simple active-alert self-hypnosis technique that can help you become more engaged, focused, and motivated. Watch Video Here: Why Trying Harder Is Making You Less Motivated: Do This Instead of Applying Pressure.

The Hypnosis Audio Emporium Is Now Open: Huge Amount of Hypnosis Audio Tracks and Programmes All In One Place...
|
For a very long time, people have been asking me whether there was a way to access all of my hypnosis programmes without purchasing them individually.
It has taken rather longer than I expected, but I'm delighted to say that the answer is finally yes. Over the past couple of decades, I've created a substantial collection of hypnosis programmes, educational resources, specialist audio
sessions and self-hypnosis training materials. Some of these have become best sellers. Some are highly specialised. Some are unusual enough that you'll struggle to find anything comparable elsewhere. Until now, they've all lived separately. I've finally brought them together under one roof. The result is the Hypnosis Audio Emporium. It contains over 200 standalone hypnosis tracks, with many more complete programmes with hundreds
more hypnosis audio tracks for confidence, self-esteem, stress reduction, sleep, motivation, running performance, pain relief, weight management, health and fitness, anger, immune functioning, relationships and much more, alongside my full Science of Self-Hypnosis educational programme.
Ok, so off the record, it also contains my full Tripnosis set of mind-altering audio sessions, and also my full 'out of body experience' mini series of audio
tracks as well as pretty much every audio programme I've ever put together. More importantly, every new hypnosis programme and audio session that I release publicly will be added to the Emporium during your membership. If you've ever wanted access to my complete hypnosis library, I'd encourage you to take a look. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by just how much is included.
