Lowering Your Blood Pressure With Hypnosis...
|
Further to my previous article, last week, on this subject, todays process is aimed at lowering high blood pressure. There are a number of applications of hypnosis that I have used throughout the years to demonstrate the power of the mind over body that have involved the control of blood flow.
For example, when I have had people use hypnosis for pain relief, in particular when a glove anaesthesia process is employed; the arm that the client has imagined to be encased in ice (for subsequent anaesthesia purposes) is noticeably more pale as the blood has drained away, it feels cooler to touch and is a very visual and obvious means of seeing the body respond to the mind, imagination and hypnosis suggestion. Likewise, blood perfusion is often done with hypnosis - that is, the process of mobilising blood into other parts of the body. When I have demonstrated analgesia and/or anaesthesia using hypnosis and put a pin through someone's arm, suggestions can be given that when the pin is taken out, the slight bleeding only happens in one of holes made on the pins exit - and it happens. It is amazing to see.
So certainly, having seen so much of this, it seems natural to me that hypnosis can and should be used for great effect in the process of lowering and reducing high blood pressure. Many of the principles seen and utilised in some of my previous examples are therefore utilized in theory within today's technique. Today's process is different from the previous one, and I hope you enjoy it and notice the difference it makes when practiced with regularity.

Steps To Reduce Blood Pressure Using Self-Hypnosis:
|
Imagine sitting in a chair that has been designed and created especially for you. Notice the way it molds and melds itself to the contours of your body, how it supports you in all the right areas and how your body settles deeply into the chair in other places.
Start to imagine that the chair is holding you and supporting you rather than you resting in and on it, as unusual as that may initially sound, use your imagination to make a somatic difference to the way you perceive yourself resting in this chair.
Let the material of the chair be your own favoured choice, let it be the colour and size that you wish it to be and spend all the time necessary to enjoy being sat in this chair, designed and created by your mind, that is simply perfect for you and your body. Tell yourself that each moment spent sat, supported in this chair, you go deeper into hypnosis and drift deeper inside your mind whilst remaining focused of mind and your body continues to relax further. When you have really engaged in this, feel notably more relaxed, move on to the next step.
STEP THREE:
Imagine that you are now sat in your chair in a spacious, white room. All around you is white, unblemished, perfect white. Pure white and you can only just make out the places where the walls meet the floor and ceiling.
Be filled with a sense of purity and receptivity as you truly engage in this white room, this white space and continue to tell yourself that you are drifting deeper into your mind, that you are physically relaxing deeper, and that you remain focused. When you are engaged and tuned into this white space you are in, with the colour of white dominating your thoughts and senses, then move on to the next step.
STEP FOUR:
Let your mind recall a time when you were fit, healthy, well and your blood pressure was optimum and healthy. A time when you felt good to be alive and with a sense of physical freedom and vigour. As you do so, the walls start to be filled with details of being in that place again... Notice colours, shades of light and images begin to fill the walls as you remember more of the details of this time in your life when you were filled with vitality and physical well-being. Notice the sounds of the place start to resonate around the room and enjoy the feelings that are starting to occur within you as you imagine truly being in this place.
As the walls fill with details of being in that place, your mind starts to notice and recall how your blood pressure was in these circumstances... Your body starts to adjust and alter to match that sensation and that level of well-being. Notice the beat of your heart adjusting, the flow adjusting itself to be optimum, the level of pressure just right for your physical well-being. Notice the sensation of your body functioning correctly and beautifully in this way.
Engage with your surroundings, continue to notice the sounds, sights and most importantly, enjoy the feelings of this environment. Your mind has a blueprint of how you functioned at this time; so allow that blue print to be brought to the forefront of your mind now and let your mind imprint that blueprint of healthy information, healthy blood flow and comfortable blood pressure upon your mind and body again now, here in this moment. Enjoy the comfort, enjoy the steady flow and rhythm of your blood, tune in and feel it and just love the sensation. When you feel truly engaged in the surroundings, and can notice the adjustments being made within you, then move on to the next step.
STEP FIVE: Now imagine and think of your blood, flowing healthily, safely and optimally through your entire system. Notice the healthy flowing sensation running through your body and you become part of that flow. Move your awareness further inside of yourself, focus on you and nothing else for a while now. Engage exclusively in the enjoyable process of your blood flowing healthily through your body, pumped comfortably and easily by your heart... Imagine the system of canals being soft, gentle and comfortable, as the blood flows harmoniously through you. Maybe you can imagine a sound of healthy flow as you engage with it, perhaps you can even feel its wonderful harmony as it moves knowingly and healthily through every channel within you.
Notice a warmth and easiness of sensation flowing through you, imagine your blood being warm, gentle, flowing smoothly and easily. Spend some time with this step, truly engaging in the free-flowing sensation of your blood healthily moving around you, relaxing more, drifting deeper into your mind, remaining absolutely focused, and when you have spent enough time on this step and have enjoyed it for long enough, move on to the next step.
STEP SIX: Trust and confirm with yourself that as a result of this session, your body and mind continue to function in this healthy, optimum way and you can then bring this session to an end.
Take a couple of deep, energizing breaths, wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes. Practice this process over and over and let your body relearn how to respond and how to be when it comes to blood pressure and enjoy the sensations that stay with you. I'll be back next week...

Joke of the week:
|
A duck goes into a furniture store and says 'got any duck food?'The guy at the counter says, 'sorry, we don't sell duck food'. The little duck walks out. The next day, same duck, same guy. 'Got any duck food?' 'Sorry little duck, I told you yesterday, no duck food here. ' The duck walks out. Next day, again, 'got any duck food?' The guy says 'No we don't sell duck food and if you come in here again I'm gonna nail your feet to the floor '
The duck walks out. next day, duck walks in. 'Got any nails? ' The guy says 'what?... no'. '...got any duck food?' Hahahahaha! Thank you to everyone for all the jokes you people send in, keep them coming and lets keep laughing. We do have a group dedicated to jokes and funnies in the new hypnosis hub, so come and read the stuff that goes on there.
